Az Asus ROG Strix GL702Z talán legnagyobb előnye, hogy egyelőre az egyetlen hordozható konfig a világon, ami Ryzen processzorral van szerelve, így az AMD fanok biztosan nem hagyják majd ki. Ettől válik a gép kuriózummá, egy igazi ritkasággá. Valóban olyan, mint egy vadonban befogott ragadozó. Saját szabályrendszere van, egy másik világban amely sajátja, ahol nem te vagy a főnök. Ha képes vagy tisztelni erejét, vadságát, nem akarod megszelídíteni, jól meglesztek. Más esetben ott van a testvére, a GL702VS.

Ennek megfelelően (vagy ennek ellenére, kinek melyik tetszik) minden szempontból tetszett nekünk, hiszen egy sokoldalú, remekül összerakott gép, ráadásul sikerült egy asztali processzort úgy beépíteni ebbe a notebookba, hogy semmiféle kompromisszumot nem kell kötni zajszint vagy throttling szempontjából. A gép általános feladatok során villámgyors, és játékok alatt is ki tudjuk használni a Full HD kijelző kínálta lehetőségeket, és nem kizárólag butított beállítások mellett. Ráadásul ez a kijelző remek képminőséget is ad, tehát újabb érv a sokoldalú felhasználhatóság mellett.
