Az A16-ot WUXGA játékra állították be magas vagy maximális beállítások mellett, de sok más területen, például videoszerkesztésben és renderelésben is hasznos lehet. Egy Ryzen 9 7940HS-ből és egy Radeon RX 7600S-ből álló AMD páros biztosítja a laptop számára a szükséges teljesítményt. Mindkét komponens egyenletesen magas órajelen fut.

Az Asus TUF Gaming A16 Advantage Edition egy jól felszerelt középkategóriás gamer laptop, amelynek büszkesége a lenyűgöző üzemidő. 

A testvérmodellben található Ryzen-7-7735HS APU-hoz képest a 7940HS-APU CPU teljesítménye lényegesen jobb, annak ellenére, hogy ugyanannyi magot tartalmaz és ugyanannyi teljesítménykorlátot is. Itt a modern architektúra (Zen 4 vs. Zen 3+) és a nagyobb órajel mutatja meg magát.

A készülék elképesztő üzemideje minden bizonnyal az egyedi vonzereje is: a 12,5 óra körüli gyakorlati értékeket általában nem sok más irodai laptop éri el. Pozitívum: Az akkumulátor USB-C tápegységgel (min. 65 watt, 20 V) tölthető - az egyik USB-C porton van Power Delivery. A saját tápegységet nem szükséges feltétlenül magunkkal cipelni. 

A beépített IPS-kijelző (16 hüvelyk, 1 920 x 1 200 képpont) munkabarát 16:10 aránnyal rendelkezik, és általában jó benyomást tett ránk - ha valami, akkor a fényerő lehetne egy kicsit erősebb. A beszerelt belépőszintű SSD tökéletesen megfelelne egy egyszerű irodai laptopnak - de nem egy 1700 dolláros gamer laptopnak. A kínált tárhely (512 GB) és az adatmennyiség sem a felhasználók igényeinek, sem az elvárásoknak nem felel meg. 

Legion Pro 5 16IRX8 megfelelő alternatíva lehet. Jobb teljesítményt és világosabb képernyőt kínál, mint az A16 - de egyértelműen nem tud ugyanolyan lenyűgöző üzemidőt nyújtani. A Gigabyte G5 KE egy jó és olcsóbb alternatíva lehet: Hasonló szintű grafikus teljesítményt kapunk jóval kedvezőbb áron. Bár: Ez a laptop nem rendelkezik előre telepített Windows operációs rendszerrel.

Ár és elérhetőség

Az A16 16 GB RAM-mal és 512 GB SSD-vel szerelt változata az Asus' weboldalán 1371 dollár körüli áron vásárolható meg.
