Vékony káváival és szép hátlapjával a Honor X8 megnyerően néz ki, és ezzel a legjobb tulajdonságát ellőttem, passzoló, profi összeszereléssel és jack kimenettel. A bökkenő az árcédulánál kezdődik: százezer forintért az X8 nemhogy nem méltó a Honor 6 kvázi-csúcskészülékhez, középkategóriás versenyzőként is elhasal, kezdve a gyenge betekintési szögeket kínáló TFT panellel és ósdi processzormagokkal, illetve a harmatos GPU-val. Nincs meg sem egy árszinten elérhető Redmi vagy Realme kellő lóereje és élvezhető játékélménye, sem pedig 5G modeme vagy fényes AMOLED panelje, és végképp nincs esélye egy kifutó árbajnok GT Master ellen. A kameraszett sem hozza a formát: a huawei-es időkben jobban odafigyeltek az algoritmusra, a 4K hiány mellett pedig mindenféle képstabilizálásnak is lőttek. Meg a sztereó hangszórónak. A cseppálló kivitelnek. A tárhely-bővítésnek. Az árszinten jellemző gigatelepnek. Az Android 12-nek. Mit keres amúgy az EMUI átirata egy elvileg önálló márka telefonján? Ideje szoftverben is függetlenedni, mert ráférne a felületre némi Honor karakter

The Honor X8 5G battery provided outstanding autonomy when tested in factory default mode. The device maintained a charge for more than 3 full days during the typical usage scenario (TUS), one of the best performances we’ve seen so far. We had the same excellent experience during the on-the-go tests, especially when scrolling on social apps. In calibrated mode, the device showed decent performance across all our use cases as well.

HONOR X7, X8, X9 Review Philippines: Full Force

While puzzling at first, it’s clear that the X7, X8, and X9 are meant to cater to different markets as part of HONOR’s strategy in its return to the Philippines. The X7 is the most affordable of the three and is made for those who prioritize battery life and are a fan of HONOR’s older phone designs. The X8 is geared towards those who want a slim phone that offers a large display thanks to its razor-thin bezels, while the X9 is made to be an affordable version of the Magic4 Pro flagship by offering a number of high-end features and having a very good camera performance when compared against the competition. Having a good set of features for their price, we do hope that HONOR stays true to its commitment with software upgrades and updates the X7, X8, and X9 to Android 12–or maybe get them upgraded to HONOR’s upcoming MagicOS 7.0 in the near future.

In an increasingly competitive mid-range phone space, the Honor X8 is well appointed, serving up solid performance in terms of app multitasking, battery life, display visuals and the camera array. If we were to critique it, it would be to say that it does not do enough to stand out from that aforementioned crowded space, which is something that 5G support could have done. That said, if we are comparing the Honor X8 to some of the similarly specced and priced Huawei devices on the market, the support for Google gives it a distinct edge. Add 5G to the mix for future phones and Honor could start to make some real inroads. Provided 5G is not a element in your buying decision, the Honor X8 is a great looking phone that is well priced and performs as expected. The Honor X8 has debuted in SA at a time when there are more great mid-range phones on the market than ever before. Luckily it is fitted with a solid display, battery and camera, as well as an eye catching design. The only element missing to help it stand out is support for 5G.

The phone offers a decent chipset and battery but the rest other specs seem to add up numbers. The display, camera, and storage could have been better. This smartphone underperforms in most ways and doesn’t offer a good deal in this price segment. Furthermore, the other things like fast charging and software are just average and nothing unique or new in that. Though the overall phone is okay there are a lot of better alternatives available such as the Realme 9 Pro smartphone in the same price range. You can check the Realme 9 Pro, as it comes with a better battery, screen, and 5g support, but the final decision depends on you.

The Honor X8 is a decent mid-range smartphone announced in March 2022, while the expected price of the phone is around $240 (Rs 18,299 in India) approx. It carries a 6.7 inches IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by a 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset and Adreno 610 GPU. As for the camera board, you will get a quad rear camera offering a 64MP main alongside a 16MP selfie lens. Both cameras can record 1080p videos at 30 fps. As far as the internal storage is concerned, you will attain 128GB internal storage with 6GB RAM support, while no card slot present. For security, the device offers a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Furthermore, the device runs on Android 11 OS with Magic UI 4.2 user interface and the phone holds an apt Li-Po 4000 mAh battery accompanied by 22.5W fast charging support.
