The Infinix Zero X Pro is another solid ‘premium affordable’ handset in the mode of the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Poco X3 Pro, with a fine 120Hz AMOLED display and a strong 108Mp camera. Almost unique to this area of the market is a periscope telephoto lens that actually earns its place on the back of the phone. I'm not so convinced by the accompanying Moon Shot mode, but that’s pretty much irrelevant in daily (and even nightly) shooting. Where the phone falls short is when it comes to reliability, chiefly in the form of battery life under more intensive conditions (even if charging is pretty fast), and a truly terrible fingerprint sensor. Elsewhere, Infinix’s software is just too overbearing for our stomachs. There’s promise here for future models, but Infinix needs to nail down those fine details and streamline its software if it’s to mix it with the budget big boys.

Infinix is taking budget smartphones to the next level with one of its flashiest budget offerings yet: the Infinix Zero X Pro. For its price of P14,990, this device hosts some impressive specs that you’ll often see in high-end phones, including an eye-catching design, a 108MP rear camera, and a 120Hz refresh rate display. It is also propped as the ideal mate for moon watchers and mobile photographers alike, for its Super Zoom Moonshot camera. But how does it fare as an all-around mobile device? Read on as Speed brings it to a test below.

The Infinix Zero X Pro is nothing short of an intriguing foray into a more premium device segment for the company. Its price is still a bit hard to precisely pinpoint, but if we go by the fairly safe assumption of a $400 starting MSRP for the 8GB/128GB model, the value proposition is certainly strong. At least on paper, that is. Like the saying goes, "the truth is in the details," and unfortunately, Infinix managed to fail just about as many of those as it nailed with the Zero X Pro. That makes it kind of a hassle to expect a consistently good experience out of - a reality that is not really worth settling for in today's smartphone market. You can get a much more consistently great experience elsewhere. Overall, it's a decent phone that likely won't disappoint an average user, but definitely not a device we would recommend actively seeking out and choosing.

The Infinix Zero X and X Pro smartphone come with an exciting set of features that are often seen in the mid-range segment. But as a big downside, the processing power is something that’s discouraging. However, the display capability, battery life, and camera support are noteworthy compared to the previous Infinix Note 8 series phones. Overall, both models are great choices in the mid-range segment. However, if you are looking for something simpler, you can check out the Redmi Note 10 series, while from the better camera features you can also visit the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G. But if you’re looking for an affordable option, the Infinix Zero X Neo is an impressive choice.

Even with the disappointing battery life, and the fact that the Galileo algorithm isn’t really quite up to snuff, the Infinix Zero X Pro is actually a solid budget option. As long as you temper your expectations going in, you should have no major issues with the device. It’s just frustrating when so much hype is put into a single feature, and that one feature falls flat. Couple that with the fact that Infinix is only offering the Zero X Pro in select regions (not the U.S.), and it’s not the greatest recipe for success.

Infinix is ready to step up its game, and our hands-on with the Infinix Zero X Pro shows that it is slated to be the brand’s best and most premium phone in the Philippines. Despite being marketed as a mainstream mid-range phone, Infinix managed to stuff the Zero X Pro with flagship features like a 120hz AMOLED display, OIS on both the periscope and 108-main rear camera, and 45w wired charging. While there may be mixed thoughts about its use of an Helio G95 processor, the Zero X Pro is a very promising mid-range offering in the Philippines, especially if Infinix can give it an under Php 20k price tag. We should know more about the official price of the Zero X Pro on October 4, so stay tuned for that.
