A Lenovo Ideapad csigalassú. Még az intéző, vagy egy egyszerűbb weboldal megnyitása is türelemjáték. A kijelző színei kimondottan pontatlanok, a betekintési szögei gyatrák. Míg alap irodai alkalmazásokhoz, és netezéshez éppen elég, a felhasználónak lentebb kell tennie az elvárásait, mert másként idegesítő lesz számára.
Ettől eltekintve a 120s még így is lenyomja pár dologban a riválisait. Design, ház minőség, billentyűzet és üzemidő terén kevés olcsó gép képes utolérni a 120s-t 250 dollár körüli ár mellett. A ventilátorok mellőzése miatt csendes, az üzemidő és a tömege mobilissá teszik. Ugyan a gép lassú, de az Ideapad 120s így is csuklóból veri a többi kétmagos Celeron-os notebookot a benchmarkokban.
Azok számára, akiknek hihetetlenül szűkös keret áll rendelkezésre, az Ideapad 120s gyakorlatilag verhetetlen ajánlat.
