Kontra
A Lenovo ThinkPad P50 jó mobil munkaállomás volt tavaly, de voltak vele gondok. Ezek közé tartozott a választható kijelzők rövid listája (két elemű), amelyek egyike sem felelt meg elvárásainknak fényerő terén, és az egyik (4K) még látható PWM-től is szenvedett. A ThinkPad P51 egy Kaby Lake frissítés, azonos köntösben.
Ismét nagyon strapabíró készüléket kapunk kiváló beviteli eszközökkel és hűtéssel. Az új alkatrészek miatt a teljesítmény növekedett, és a Lenovo végre egy nagyon jó 4K kijelzőt pakolt a gépbe, amely széles szín gamuttal rendelkezik. A P50 kezdeti gyengeségei (WWAN problémák, telepről történő működés esetén erősen visszaeső CPU teljesítmény) is kijavításra kerültek.
Nagy teljesítmény, remek ház, kiváló kijelző – a ThinkPad P51 egy nagyon jó munkaállomás. Azért néhány részleten lehetne még csiszolni.
A ThinkPad P51 azonban nem tökéletes. Apróságok mellett (a tesztpéldány jobb TrackPoint gombja, gyenge hangszórók, nehézkes karbantartás), az integrált kalibráció ismét kudarcot vallott. Ezen felül a hűtés nem bírja az iramot, ha a CPU-t és GPU-t egyszerre terheljük, és nem tudjuk kiaknázni a Xeon processzor teljes kapacitását. Az időnként jelentkező tekercszaj is zavaró. Mivel a ventilátorok gyakran kikapcsolnak, ezért még inkább hallani lehet.
Mindent egybevetve, a Lenovo gépe még mindig nagyon jó, és a közeljövőben megjelenő Dell és HP modelleknek komoly vetélytársa lesz.
