NVIDIA T550 Laptop GPU
Az Nvidia T550 Laptop GPU (korábbi nevén Quadro T550 Mobile) laptopokhoz egy professzionális mobil grafikus kártya, amely a Turing architektúrán (TU117 chip) alapul. Alapja a fogyasztói GeForce MX550, és ugyanazzal az 1024 maggal és 64 bites memóriabusszal rendelkezik. A kártya 4 GB GDDR6-ot kínál, maximális sávszélessége 112 GB/s, és nincs dedikált kijelző kimenet (az Optimuson keresztül használt iGPU kijelző kimenetek). A chip 12 nm-es FinFET eljárással készül a TSMC-nél.
A professzionális GPU-k tanúsított illesztőprogramokat kínálnak, amelyeket a stabilitásra és a teljesítményre optimalizáltak a professzionális alkalmazásokban (CAD, DCC, orvosi, prospektív és vizualizációs alkalmazások). A teljesítmény ezeken a területeken tehát sokkal jobb a megfelelő fogyasztói GPU-khoz képest.
A Turing generáció nem csak a raytracinget vezette be az RTX kártyákhoz, hanem optimalizálta a magok és a gyorsítótárak architektúráját is. Az Nvidia szerint a CUDA magok mostantól a lebegőpontos és egészértékű műveletek egyidejű végrehajtását kínálják, ami a modern játékok számításigényes munkaterhelésében megnövelt teljesítményt eredményez. Emellett a gyorsítótárakat is átdolgozták (új, egységesített memóriaarchitektúra a Pascalhoz képest kétszer nagyobb gyorsítótárral). Ez a Pascalhoz képest akár 50%-kal több utasítást eredményez órajelenként, és 40%-kal hatékonyabb energiafelhasználást. A gyorsabb Quadro RTX kártyákkal ellentétben a T550 nem rendelkezik raytracing és Tensor magokkal.
