Összegzés - Hatalmas CPU teljesítmény-ugrás kisebb GPU erősödéssel
Bár a 130 W-os grafikus teljesítményre való frissítés papíron hatalmas előrelépésnek tűnhet a 100 W-oshoz képest, a valós teljesítményszintek csak minimálisan jobbak, mivel még mindig az Nvidia GPU-k Ampere családjával dolgozunk. Ebben az esetben a 130 W-os RTX 3070-esünk lényegében egy szinten van a Comet Lake-H Blade Pro-nak a 100 W-os RTX 3080-asával. Kézi Turbo módban állandó ~115 W-os GPU teljesítményt tudunk kipréselni, szemben a 95 W-al az alapértelmezett kiegyensúlyozott módban, ami azt jelenti, hogy a felhasználóknak nem szabad megfeledkezniük a Turbo mód aktiválásáról, valamint a maximális ventilátorzajt is el kell viselniük, ha a rendszert a lehető legjobban ki akarják használni.
A legnagyobb erősödés inkább a processzor teljesítményében történt, ahol a 10. generációs Intelről a 11. generációs Intelre való ugrás sokkal szembetűnőbb, különösen mivel a 2020-as Blade Pro-ban lévő Core i7-10875H kissé alulteljesített. A CPU-frissítés természetesen PCIe4 és Thunderbolt 4 támogatást is hoz, ami még inkább jövőbiztossá teszi a rendszert.
Két évnyi folyamatos frissítés után a 17,3 hüvelykes Blade most minden eddiginél kifinomultabbnak tűnik, így könnyebben ajánlható, mint az eredeti, 2019-es megjelenéskor.
Bármennyire is elegáns a 2019-es váz, a teljesítményen túl néhány tényleges fizikai frissítésre is szüksége lenne. A Dell most dobta piacra az Alienware x17-et Cherry mechanikus billentyűkkel, amelyekhez képest a Blade 17 billentyűi gazdaságosnak tűnnek. A webkamera takaró hiányát is egyre nehezebb figyelmen kívül hagyni, és az érintőpad alatti két hangos ventilátorral is foglalkozni kellene a légáramlás befolyásolása nélkül.
Ár és elérhetőség
A Blade 17-nek már több konfigurációja is elérhető a Best Buy-on 2499 dollártól kezdődően. Más kiskereskedőknél, mint például az Amazon-nál, az írás időpontjában ezek még nem elérhetőek. Ne feledjük, hogy a legújabb modell egyszerűen „Blade 17” és nem „Blade Pro 17”, ami a régebbi modell neve.
