However, the global autonomy experience demonstrated a lot of possibilities for improvement. When used moderately, the autonomy of Xiaomi Redmi 12 5G lasted a little bit less than two and a half days, giving it a below-average showing in our database. The weak showing in autonomy could be attributed to the relatively high night discharge current, which resulted in the device losing more than 3% of its power per night. Furthermore, the high consumption of social apps and gaming drained the battery quickly as well. On a brighter side, the device showed above-average autonomy in video streaming 4G and calling test cases. The Xiaomi Redmi 12 5G’s charging experience leaves much room for optimization.
