AMD A12-9700P
Az AMD A12-9700P középkategóriás Bristol-Ridge APU szériás lapkakészlet notebookok számára, (7. APU generáció), amelyet 2016 közepén jelentettek be. A 15 watt TDP-jû ULV chip (konfigurálható 12 wattra is) négy CPU maggal (két Excavator modullal rendelkezik, ezen felül egy Radeon R7 GPU-val és egy dual-channel DDR4-1866 memóriavezérlõvel. A Bristol Ridge egy teljes értékû lapkakészlet, amelynek integrált chipsete kezel minden I/0 portot.
A Bristol Ridge a Carrizo architektúra utódja, a dizájnjuk majdnem teljesen megegyezik Az optimalizált gyártási folyamatnak és az agresszívebb Boost-nak köszönhetõen az órajelek kicsivel magasabbak azonos fogyasztás mellett. AMD: Bristol Ridge APU-k érkeznek
Az a A12-9700P teljesítménye a két 15 wattos processzor, az A10-9600P és az FX-9800P között van, ezért nagyjából egy szinten van a 15 wattos Core i3 Skylake-es vagy Kaby Lake-es variánsaival. Az Intel modellekkel összehasonlítva az AMD chipnek van némi elõnye többszálas feladatoknál, de alulmarad, ha csak egy, vagy két magot terhelünk. A TDP limitáció miatt az A12-9700P teljesítménye jelentõsen visszaesik tartós terhelés esetén.
Ez azt jelenti, hogy a teljesítménye elegendõ mindennapi irodai és netes alkalmazásokra, és könnyebb multitaskoláshoz.
Az integrált Radeon R7 (Bristol Ridge) GPU 512 aktív shader egységgel rendelkezik (8 maggal), és maximum 758 MHz-en dolgozik. Az órajeltartomány jobb kihasználásának, és a gyorsabb, DDR4 RAM-nak hála, a GPU valamivel jobban teljesít a korábbi Radeon R7-nél (Carrizo), és ideális esetben (dual-channel memória, alacsony CPU igény) képes versenyre kelni a Geforce 920MX-szel. Sok 2015-2016-os játékot simán futtathatunk alacsony beállításokon.
Az AMD 15 wattban adta meg az A12-9700P TDP-jét, amely az Intel ULV modelljeihez hasonló. Ez alapján a CPU jó választás lehet 12 inch körüli, vékony notebookok számára.
