Intel 4200M

Az Intel Core i5-4200M egy közép kategóriás noteszgép processzor, ami a Haswell architektúrán alapszik és 22 nm-en készült el. A Hyperthreading-nek köszönhetõen a két mag egyszerre négy szálon tudja továbbítani az adatokat, ami a CPU jobb kihasználtságát eredményezi. Mindegyik mag alapórajele 2.5 GHz, de a Turbo Boost segítségével ez 3.1 GHz-ig emelkedhet egy mag esetén, két mag esetén 3.0 GHz-ig.

A Haswell az Ivy Bridge architektúra utódja és mind a GPU, mind a CPU tekintetében elõrelépést hozott. A CPU 22 nanométeres gyártástechnológiával készült el Az új képességek, mint az AVX2 és az FMA várhatóan növelik a teljesítményt a különbözõ alkalmazások alatt. 

Teljesítmény tekintetében a Core i5-4200M nagyjából 10 százalékkal jobb  eredményeket mutat fel, mint a hasonló órajellel rendelkezõ Ivy Bridge-alapú társai. Vagyis, teljesítménye nagyjából megegyezik a Core i5-3340M CPU-val. 

Az integrált Intel HD Graphics 4600 20 végrehajtó egységet (execution unit - EU) foglal magába, melyek órajele 400-1150 MHz (Turbo Boost) és ezzel 30 százalékkal gyorsabb, mint a HD 4000. 

Az i5-4200M (CPU plusz GPU plusz VRM) energiafogyasztása (TDP) 37 Watt, emiatt csak a 14 hüvelykes, vagy annál nagyobb noteszgépekben találkozhatunk vele.
