AMD Ryzen 7 9700X felülvizsgálat: Core i9-14900K szintű egymagos és játékteljesítmény Zen 5-tel 185 dollárral olcsóbban

Az AMD Ryzen 7 9700X a 4 nm-es Zen 5 architektúra fejlesztéseit kihasználva kiváló egymagos és játékteljesítményt kínál, amely egyenrangú az Intel legjobb 14. generációs kínálatával, beleértve a Core i9-14900K-t is. Míg a Ryzen 7 9700X hatékonyságnövekedése egy erős játék-PC felépítését teszi lehetővé, az AMD jelenlegi árstratégiája megnehezíti a vásárlási döntéseket a versenytársakkal szemben.

AMD nemrég indította el a 4 nm-es Ryzen 9000 Zen 5 "Granite Ridge" APU-kat, amelyek közvetlenül követik a tavalyi Zen 4-es ajánlatokat. Az AMD által a Zen 5-tel kapcsolatban megfogalmazott célok a "jelentős" 1T és 2T teljesítménynövekedés és a teljes 512 bites AVX512 adatútvonal.

Az AMD szerint a Zen 5 magot úgy tervezték, hogy támogassa a közelgő AI képességeket, bár maga a SoC nem rendelkezik dedikált NPU-val, ellentétben azzal, amit az új Ryzen 9 AI HX Strix Point APU-vals.

A Ryzen 5 9600X és a Ryzen 7 9700X a Zen 4-es társaikhoz képest +100 MHz-es feltöltési frekvenciával rendelkezik. Ezek a CPU-k azonban gyárilag 65 W TDP-re vannak korlátozva.

Ez a mesterséges TDP-korlátozás olyan, mintha a Ryzen 7 7700X eCO üzemmódban, de a Zen 5 mikroarchitektúra-változásai még ilyen korlátozott TDP mellett is érzékelhető teljesítménynövekedést eredményeznek. A másik előny, hogy a Ryzen 7 9700X-re szinte bármilyen alaphűtőt rácsaphatsz, és máris beindul a gép.

Természetesen minél jobb a hűtési megoldás és az alaplap tápellátása, annál nagyobb hő- és teljesítménytér áll rendelkezésre a Precision Boost Overdrive 2 (PBO2) számára, hogy kifejthesse varázslatos hatását. Ennek a megközelítésnek a hátránya azonban az alacsonyabb alapórajelek és a Zen 4-hez képest összességében gyakorlatilag semmilyen teljesítménykülönbség, ahogy azt hamarosan látni fogjuk.

Ez nem X3D chip, így a kombinált L2+L3 gyorsítótár még mindig 40 MB. Az I/O die-t a Zen 4-ből használták újra, ami azt jelenti, hogy a SoC ugyanazt az RDNA 2 iGPU-t tartalmazza két számítási egységgel (128 stream processzor).

A fő változás ezúttal a DDR5-5600 memória támogatása, amely állítólag elérheti a DDR5-8000 EXPO sebességet. A Ryzen 7000-es sorozathoz hasonlóan az AMD 1:1 UCLK és MCLK arányt ajánl, az FCLK-t pedig Auto értékre állítva.

A Zen 5 egy új Memory Clocking On-the-Fly funkciót is hoz, amely lehetővé teszi a zökkenőmentes váltást a Power-on-Reset (POR) memória sebességek és az EXPO profilok között közvetlenül a Ryzen Masterből. A felhasználók memóriaoptimalizált teljesítményprofilokat (Memory Optimized Performance Profiles, OPP) is létrehozhatnak, amelyek lényegében EXPO-beállítások a natív EXPO-profil nélküli memóriákhoz.

Végül a meglévő Curve Optimizer mellett egy új Curve Shaper funkció is rendelkezésre áll, amely lehetővé teszi a feszültséggörbék átformálását, 15 különböző frekvencia-hőmérsékleti sáv hozzáadásával vagy eltávolításával, szükség szerint. Ezeket a túlhajtási funkciókat a meglévő AM5-ös lapok is támogatják egy BIOS-frissítéssel.

A tesztpad: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X és RTX 4090 párosítása

Minden tesztet a Windows 11 23H2 (Build 22621.3958) tiszta telepítése után végeztünk, a legújabb AMD chipkészlet-illesztőprogramokkal és az Nvidia Game Ready Driver 560.81-es verziójával együtt.

A Zen 5 esetében még mindig küzdöttünk a hosszabb DDR5 betanítási időtartammal, a CPU telepítése utáni első indítás körülbelül négy-öt percig tartott. Ha túl vagyunk ezen a kezdeti időszakon, az egymást követő bootok körülbelül 10 másodperc alatt befejeződnek egy friss operációs rendszer telepítésénél.

Szeretnénk köszönetet mondani az AMD-nek a Ryzen 7 9700X tesztpéldány biztosításáért, az Nvidiának az RTX 4090 Founders Edition GPU-ért, az Asusnak a ROG Crosshair X670E Hero alaplapért, az MSI-nek a MAG274UPF monitorért, a Kingstonnak a DDR5 memóriacsomagért, a Thermaltake-nek a TH420 V2 Ultra EX AIO-ért, és végül a Cooler Masternek a tesztpadért és a tápegységért.

CPU teljesítmény: Ryzen 7 7700X-hez képest a 65 W-os TDP gátolja a többmagos teljesítménynövekedést

Az AMD Ryzen 7 9700X összesített CPU-teljesítménye hasonlóan alakul, mint a Intel Core i5-14600K, Core i5-13600K, és még a Core i9-12900K és a Ryzen 9 5950X. A Zen 5 CPU azonban összességében nem mutat érzékelhető teljesítménynövekedést egy Ryzen 7 7700X-hez képest.

Ennek ellenére a Cinebench és Geekbench egymagos pontszámokban tisztességes, generációnkénti javulást látunk, ahol a Ryzen 7 9700X akár 13%-os előnyre tesz szert a Zen 4 elődjéhez képest.

A többmagos nyereség azonban mindenhol nagyon minimális, és a halmozott CPU-tesztekben gyakorlatilag nem látunk különbséget a Ryzen 7 9700X és a Ryzen 7 7700X között. Ez valószínűleg a csökkentett, 65 W-os alapértelmezett TDP-nek köszönhető, ami egyfajta ECO üzemmód. Az alacsonyabb TDP feltehetően további energiaszintet biztosít a PBO2 algoritmusnak az egymagos forgatókönyvek teljesítményének növeléséhez, mivel ezek a CPU-k továbbra is állandó 95 °C-os TjMax hőmérsékleten működnek.

Az AMD kifejtette, hogy a Ryzen 7 9700X és a Ryzen 5 9600X kifejezetten az alacsony fogyasztású felhasználási eseteket célozza meg, és valószínűleg a hűtési megoldástól függően termikusan korlátozottak lesznek.

A hírek szerint a járja a köröket, hogy az AMD esetleg egy új AGESA-foltot kínál, amely feloldja a 105 W-os TDP-t, így erre figyelni fogunk. Manuálisan is feloldhatjuk a teljesítménykorlátozást, ha a BIOS-ban a PBO-határértékeket a maximumra állítjuk.

Érdekes, hogy a széria Ryzen 7 9700X és a Ryzen 5 9600X egymagos teljesítménye pontosan megegyezik. Tehát ha a munkaterhelésed elsősorban egyszálas, akkor könnyen beérheted a Ryzen 5 9600X-szel, és megspórolhatod a változást.
